The Bridgstone Synergy RB1
The Bridgstone Synergy RB1 “road” bikes, combine frame design taken from classic Italian road bikes of the ’70’s with excellent Japanese workmanship and functional, reliable parts. Moreover, the RB-1 was extremely popular with racers, and held its own against competing models costing hundreds of dollars more.
This featured Bridgestone is a rare Olympic Edition which was unlisted in the catalogs. However, we believe that it was released late in the year after the 1984 Olympics and did not make the catalog. As a matter of fact, this happened quite often with many Japanese brands.
Additionally, this particular bike has all Suntour Superbe components with an eight speed cassette.
As a matter of fact, the main tubes on the Bridgstone Synergy RB1 were made from Ishiwata 022 tubing. The fork was manufactured with Ishiwata 019. This bicycle has Campy hubs and a Team edition Selle Italia saddle which in 1990 was only made for the pros.
Above all, this rare ride is in great condition. No major damage, no dents and no bends. There are minor marks and scratches from use since the 90’s. Check out the pictures to see this original red paint job.
